Refund Policy

At LacLume, we take pride in our heritage craftsmanship and curated mystery experiences. We offer a 30-day return policy for orders placed on laclume.com. You may submit a return request within 30 calendar days from the date of receiving your item.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Mystery Jar & Heritage Items

  • Mystery Jars: Due to the surprise nature of our "Blind Box" style products, returns are ONLY accepted if the jar is completely sealed and the security seal is intact. Once the jar has been opened, it is ineligible for return or refund unless the items inside are physically defective.

  • Lacquerware Art: Our lacquerware is handcrafted from natural materials. Organic variations in texture and flow patterns are the "soul" of the piece and are not considered manufacturing defects.


1. Return Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following:

  • Original Condition: The item must be unworn, unused, with all original tags attached, and in the intact original packaging.

  • Sealed Status: For Mystery Jars, the outer seal must NOT be broken.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid order number or receipt is required.

  • Exclusions: Returns that show signs of wear, scratches, or missing accessories will be rejected.


2. Return Process

  1. Initiate a Request: Contact us at service@laclume.com or postmaster@laclume.com. Include your order number, photos of the item, and the reason for the return.

  2. Application Review: We will review your request within 3 business days.

  3. Ship the Item: For approved returns, you will receive instructions on how to ship the package back to our production base.

  4. Tracking: You must provide a tracking number for your return. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit without tracking.


3. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. For damaged lacquerware or jewelry, you must contact us within 7 days with clear photos/videos of the damaged item and the packaging. We will provide a free replacement or a full refund for confirmed quality issues.


4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Opened Mystery Jars: Any jar with a broken seal.

  • Customized Jewelry: Personalized or engraved pieces.

  • Final Sale Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" or purchased with high-value clearance coupons.

  • Gift Cards.


5. Return Shipping & Costs

  • Defective/Incorrect Items: LacLume covers the return shipping cost or provides a prepaid label.

  • Personal Reasons (Change of Mind): The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and any import duties incurred when the package enters China.

  • EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period: Customers in the EU have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw, provided the item (including Mystery Jars) is unopened and in original condition.


6. Refunds

  • Inspection: We will inspect the returned item within 5 business days of receipt.

  • Approval: If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.

  • Timeline: * Credit Cards: 3–7 business days.

    • PayPal/E-wallets: 1–3 business days.

  • Note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable.


7. Exchanges

To ensure the fastest service, we do not offer direct exchanges. Please return your original item for a refund and place a new order for the desired product.
