Founded in 2025 and registered in Manchester, UK, LACLUME ARTISAN JEWELRY CO., LTD. is a designer jewelry brand on a mission to bring 8,000-year-old Chinese lacquer art into modern life. Our Craft & Materials
We follow traditional lacquer techniques passed down through millennia. Our natural lacquer is sustainably tapped from 8–10 year-old trees grown at 500–2,500m altitude in mountain regions, then purified, filtered, and hand-applied in 3–5 ultra-thin coats (each ≤0.05mm) onto high-quality bases of 925 sterling silver, copper, or natural wood. Every piece is hand-painted by artisans with over a decade of experience, then polished to a warm, smooth luster using 4,000–5,000 grit sandpaper.
Social Responsibility
Sustainability isn't an afterthought—it's built into our process. Our careful tapping method allows lacquer trees to fully recover after harvest, leaving no lasting environmental impact. We believe true craftsmanship means respecting both the culture it comes from and the planet we share.
